Lisbon Hosts Iran Culture Week

During the event, Iranian movies were shown with Portuguese subtitles, and an Iranian book-fair and handicrafts exhibition were held.

The week of culture, which opened on November 17, was organized by the Technical University of Lisbon and Iran's embassy in Lisbon.

Residents of Lisbon were given a unique opportunity to learn about Iran's cultural heritage and strong identity.

The Iranian ambassador to Lisbon, Rasoul Mohajer, underlined Iran's significant role in creating stability in the Middle East during his speech at the University of Lisbon.

“Despite being threatened by foreign enemies, Iran has always played an important role to establish peace and security in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Lebanon,” Mohajer said.

“As a member of the Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran follows its peaceful nuclear activities within the frameworks of international laws,” he concluded.
